Introduction to Archive Search

Horizons magazine is a quarterly publication which shares good practice articles written by Outdoor Learning professionals for Outdoor Learning professionals.

Horizons and its predecessors have been a source of information, guidance, inspiration and debate since the 1980’s. Several hundred articles have been published and we now make these available to download (excluding the last 4 issues which are available for members only).

The downloads are free so enjoy your search whether it’s for research or interest there is a good choice for everyone.

How to Search

You can search the Horizons Archive (below) for specific authors, article titles, topics, themes, content or by using inverted commas like this: "Adventure in a Bun".

Once you have identified an article that you are looking for you can download it. Articles are available currently from Horizons issue No. 27

If you are referencing Horizons articles in any research reports etc you must attribute the magazine and author.
